Fettle, an interior architecture and design studio, presents its inaugural project in the USA: The Draycott brasserie on Sunset Boulevard in Los Angeles.

Fettle, the LA and London-based design studio, has designed the interiors of The Draycott, a brasserie infused with European charm and a distinctive Californian twist. Nestled in Pacific Palisades, Los Angeles, this flagship restaurant, helmed by esteemed restaurateurs Matt and Marisa Hermer, conjures a blend of nostalgic European grandeur with a lively atmosphere and a captivating color palette inspired by its locale. With striking views both inside and out, along with Fettle's exceptional attention to detail, The Draycott is rapidly gaining recognition as a design-focused culinary hotspot.

The Draycott champions custom design, featuring meticulous attention to detail. Each piece of furniture has been tailor-made by Fettle, aligning perfectly with the interior's vision and functional needs. A centerpiece of the restaurant is the marble-topped bar, with surrounding elements arranged symmetrically to enhance visual impact and maintain a strong sense of organization. The dining chairs, inspired by traditional brasserie seating, are upgraded with rich tan leather upholstery, complete with arm pads and stylish stud-work accents.

The terrace capitalizes on the wonderful Californian climate, allowing guests to dine outdoors year-round. Overlooking Palisades Village Park, the garden replicates the comforts found within the restaurant, incorporating upholstered booth seating and brass pendant lights. Fettle has oriented the Riviera café-style seating to provide views of the terrace from inside. Throughout the restaurant, every seat offers a glimpse of either the stunning bar, the terrace, or the park beyond.

Fettle's ability to marry two luxurious worlds has established a high standard, creating a style-driven dining experience where guests instantly feel at home. The stunning color palettes and meticulous attention to detail reflect the restaurant's commitment to offering not just a meal but a complete experience.

Utilizing a fresh yet bold color scheme that reflects the restaurant's Californian setting, the design creates a charming atmosphere throughout the space. Distinctive features include the coral-colored coffered pink ceiling adorned with intricate cornice details, complemented by exquisite leather upholstery in mustard and lush green hues. Fettle skillfully combines various textures and finishes, often employing a two-tone approach to add depth to furniture designs. For instance, the bar stools boast leather seats that elegantly mirror light, while the mohair back pads in matching shades introduce a refined yet soft contrast. The restaurant's clean white walls, framed with decorative moldings, serve as a backdrop for a dynamic display of local and European artwork.

The Queen's Room, a private dining venue, features two grand gold-framed French mirrors and vintage glass chandeliers, accommodating up to 26 guests. Salmon pink drapery enhances the large windows, allowing natural light to illuminate this exclusive space. The golden tones in the upholstery, accessories, and lighting exude an intimate fine dining experience, away from the bustle of the main restaurant and bar.
